Health Tip: Finding Mental Health Care Providers


(HealthDay News) -- If you or someone you know has a mental illness, help is out there.

To find treatment services in your area, call the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). You can also call your doctor to see what services are near.

For immediate help, call 1-800-273-8255 or go to the National Suicide Prevention Life's website. Trained crisis workers are available at all hours. For life-threatening situations, call 911 or go to a hospital.
